Ceased to exist, 7 Sep 1999, when merged with H-XB2807 - International Water Services Association (IWSA), to form C-XC0103 - International Water Association (IWA).
Aims
Advance the science and practice of water pollution control and water quality management worldwide, including: sources, causes and effects of pollution; collection and treatment of municipal and industrial wastewaters; management techniques. Expand amd disseminate scientific and technical knowledge relating to water quality and promote water pollution research and water quality protection. Promote practical application of research and experience in: engineering design, construction, operation and control; management of wastewater collection systems and purification and reclamation plants; river, lake, estuary and coastal water quality management problems.
