History

Founded uniting the American Federation - the first Soroptimist Club having been established in 1921, Oakland CA (USA) - with the European Federation, which had developed from the first Soroptimist club in Europe, the Greater London (UK) Club, set up 1923; each Federation was self-governed and self-supporting.
