History
Founded 25 Jun 1995, Zurich (Switzerland), during annual congress of D-XD4072 - European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP). Registered in accordance with Austrian law.
Aims
Promote psychotherapy in all continents, in accordance with the 'Strasbourg Declaration on Psychotherapy', 1990; enhance conditions of psychotherapy patients; cooperate with national and international organizations in peacekeeping and conflict management measures; establish ethical guidelines for psychotherapists; support efforts to achieve and maintain human rights; exchange training standards worldwide; consult with authorities in different countries on issues concerning the emotional and psychic sphere of individuals and groups.
