History
Founded by a Decree of the Holy See, after informal negotiations since 1924. Recognized by Pope Pius XII in 1949. First Statutes approved by the Sacred Congregation of Seminaries and Universities, 11 Jan 1951. Revised several times including: 1965 Tokyo (Japan); 1970 Boston MA (USA); 1988 Jakarta (Indonesia); 2000, Fremantle (Australia); 2006, Bangkok (Thailand); 2009, Rome (Italy); 2012, Sao Paulo (Brazil).

Contribute to progress of knowledge and its applications and to development of a more just and humane world in the light of reason and faith through the ferment of the Gospel.

E-XE8123 - International Center for Research and Decision Support of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (CIRAD) connects member universities and research initiatives through interdisciplinary and international cooperation projects, seminars, colloquia and training.
