History
4 May 1990, at constituent Assembly. An institutional network of C-XF3420 - Agence universitaire de La Francophonie (AUF), specifically H-XF0647 - Université des réseaux d'expression française (UREF). Also referred to as: Conférence internationale des directeurs et doyens des établissements d'enseignement supérieur et facultés d'expression française des sciences de l'agriculture et de l'alimentation au sein de l'UREF-AUPELF. Registered in accordance with French law. Registered office at AUPELF (AGROPOLIS international, Montpellier, France).
Aims
Improve training in agricultural and alimentary sciences; promote scientific and technological research in these areas; reinforce inter-university cooperation in concerned establishments; reinforce logistical possibilities permitting a more widespread use of the French language while respecting everyone's cultural identity; facilitate exploitation of resources offered by bi- and multi-lateral technical cooperation agencies; contribute to harmonizing the needs, means and possible benefits of scientific and technological cooperation; contribute to inventorying support of actions undertaken; study and promote all forms of cooperation by developing efforts so that this structure of concertation and coordination dialogue is recognized by all international organizations; support conventions and teams of cooperation on the basis of functional and organic relationship to the proper authorities of the countries concerned.

General Assembly (every 3 years). Permanent Bureau (meets annually) of 12 members, elected by General Assembly for 3-year terms, ensuring where possible equitable geographical representation, and comprising President, 3 Vice-Presidents, Secretary and Treasurer. Composed of Directors and Deans of superior French-language establishments of agricultural and alimentary sciences.
