History

25 Jun 1969, Cambridge (UK), as International Research Group on Wood Preservation -- Groupe international de recherche sur la préservation du bois, after having taken over, 1 Jan 1969, the cooperative research programme of an OECD sponsored group, set up in 1965, and called 'Group of Experts on the Preservation of Wood'. Current Statutes effective 25 May 2007.

Aims

Promote research throughout the world on the subject of wood protection; act as a forum for other international bodies undertaking collaborative research; undertake the early notification and dissemination of research results.
