History
Established under the sponsorship of UNIDO, at a meeting attended by representatives of industrial research organizations, United Nations agencies and other international organizations, following a recommendation by a UNIDO Interregional Workshop and International Symposium on Industrial Development, 1967, Athens (Greece), of which the latter was attended by delegates from 79 countries. Original Constitution and By-Laws approved by the Meeting of the Founding Members, 29 Oct 1970, Vienna. By-Laws revised by 8th biennial meeting of the General Assembly, 26 Sep 1986, Århus (Denmark). Last revision of Constitution and By-Laws adopted by 20th biennial meeting of the General Assembly, 14 Oct 2010, Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
