History
Founded Jun 2000, with the launch of a two-year pilot project of Education for Peace in 3 primary and 3 secondary schools in Bosnia-Herzegovina, with the participation of over 400 teachers and school staff, 6,000 students and their parents/guardians. By 2006, implemented in 112 schools with approximately 80,000 students, 5,000 teachers, schools staff and administrators, and thousands of parents/guardians. Devolved from Institute of International Education and Development, Landegg Academy, founded 1988, by U-XK0824 - International Landegg Baha'i Foundation.
Aims
Contribute to the urgent global need for creation of a civilization of peace within the context of the consciousness of the oneness of humanity and the principle of unity in diversity; engage students, teachers, parents/guardians and community leaders in a process of study and application of the universal principles of peace.
