As an independent think tank on international development and humanitarian issues, inspire and inform policy and practice which lead to reduction of poverty, alleviation of suffering and achievement of sustainable livelihoods in developing countries; carry out applied research; provide practical policy advice; encourage policy-focused dissemination and debate; work with partners in public and private sectors of both developing and developed countries.
