History
Founded as follow-up organization to Western European Road Directors (WERD) – Directeurs des routes d'europe de l'ouest (DREO) and Deputy European Road Directors (DERD) - Directeurs adjoints réseau routiers européen (DARRE), founded in 1988.
Aims
Ensure a high level of common information among road directors on political and technical developments in the field of road transport in Europe; strengthen the role of national road administrations in discussions with the European Commission, relevant European and international interest groups and the industry; contribute to the ongoing debate on European transport policy and harmonization.
