History
Founded at 13th International Congress on Cancer. In Jul 1983, Lomé (Togo), an initial meeting was held and AORTIC was officially established as a functioning organization. Reactivated and subsequently incorporated in the State of New York (USA), 25 Oct 2001.
Aims
Provide appropriate consultation, and coordinate and facilitate the organization of research aiming at the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer in Africa; support the management and the funding of training programmes in member and other institutions.
