History
2000, when leaders of the 8 National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS) came together under the aegis of the E-XE4468 - CGIAR System Organization (CGIAR) CAC Programme facilitated by E-XE5928 - International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA).
Aims
Foster development of agricultural research in Central Asia and the Caucasus Region by: promoting exchange of scientific and technical know-how and information in agriculture; encouraging establishment of appropriate cooperative research and training programmes in accordance with identified regional, bilateral or national needs and priorities; assisting in strengthening of research, organizational and management capability of member institutions; strengthening cross-linkages between national, regional and international research centers and organizations, including universities, through involvement in jointly-planned research and training programmes.
