4-5 Nov 1978, Frankfurt-Main (Germany), during General Assembly to replace FEIM. Registered in accordance with French law. Registered office is office of the President. Dissolved Jul 2012.

Aims

Represent and defend the interest of baton twirling and of member federations; promote and develop baton twirling on the European continent and affiliated countries; safeguard social and ethical principles of sport as they are formulated in the Olympic Charter; elaborate and realize projects in cooperation and partnership with member federations; support member federations where baton twirling is insufficiently developed through promotional programmes and assistance; support and promote initiatives of member federations; cooperate with international sports institutions and organizations; exchange opinions, experiences and information between member federations; organize European championships.

Structure

General Assembly (annual, during Congress). Administrative Council is elected every 4 years and meets twice a year in the country where the Championship or European Clubs Cup is organized. Executive Committee, comprising President, Vice-President, Secretary General, Treasurer and Technical Councillor. Technical Committee of 4 members; Audit and Finance Committee of 3 members; Commissions.
