History
1 Jan 1975, within the framework of B-XB3383 - UNESCO, by decision of 17th and 18th sessions of UNESCO General Conference, to take over activities of the Coordinating Council of International Hydrological Decade (IHD) (1965-1975). Regional network of E-XE9604 - UNESCO Office, Jakarta - Regional Bureau for Sciences in Asia and the Pacific.
Aims
Improve living conditions of populations through scientific and technological development of water sciences using holistic, multi-objective and multi-dimensional approaches, based on Dublin (Ireland) guiding principles, Agenda 21, Science for the 21st Century (Budapest) and the Santa Cruz de la Sierra Declaration.
