1975, Haifa (Israel), as IFLAC Jewish and Arab/Palestinian Women for Peace in the Middle East (The Bridge). Currently a sub-group of F-XF4597 - IFLAC - International Forum for the Literature and Culture of Peace (IFLAC). Also referred to as: The Bridge - Jewish and Arab Women for the Promotion of Women and Peace in the Middle East; Organization of Jewish and Arab Women for Coexistence and Peace; Hagesher.
Aims
Promote the status of women and of peace in the Middle East; encourage Jews and Arabs to deepen their knowledge of the heritage and culture of the two peoples and work towards coexistence based on equality, involvement and responsibility.
