Founded 1947, in succession to H-XH2769 - International Union of Radical, Liberal and Democratic Youth, set up 1929, Berlin (Germany), as World Federation of Liberal and Radical Youth (WFLRY) -- Fédération mondiale des jeunesses libérales et radicales (FMJLR), following decision taken 7 Nov 1945, London (UK). Constitution amended Sep 1965, Bremen (Germany FR). Joined H-XH3982 - European Federation of Liberal and Radical Youth (EFLRY), 1979..
Aims
Provide means of cooperation between national liberal and radical youth organizations; promote friendship between liberal and radical youth of all countries; encourage young liberals and radicals to form organizations in those countries where such do not exist; cooperate with the Liberal International in the pursuit of common aims; encourage cooperation and interchange of ideas between student organizations of liberal tendency.
