History
Founded 1975, Haifa (Israel), as The Bridge: Jewish and Arab Women for Peace. 'The Bridge' is currently the women's branch of IFLAC. Subsequently referred to as International Forum of Culture and Literature for Paving Peace (IFLAC), International Forum for the Culture of World Peace, IFLAC PAVE PEACE - International Forum for the Literature and Culture of Peace and Friends of Literature Association. 'Creative Statutes' for the Millennium adopted in 2000. Registered as a Voluntary Association, in accordance with Israeli law, 1987. In 1999, registered as a Voluntary Association, in accordance with Israeli law as International Forum for the Literature and Culture of Peace (IFLAC).
Aims
Promote peace and mutual respect between people and nations; promote social, cultural and religious tolerance between people; eliminate violence in all its forms; organize peace culture researchers, writers, intellectuals and friends of literature; encourage creativity that promotes culture and peace; promote the status of women; develop creative aspects of women leadership and peace.
