Promote defence and protection of the environment within a framework of sustainable development in the Mediterranean region; promote preservation of the environment and of nature on the basis of solidarity between individuals and between peoples, solidarity between them and their surroundings, and between the people of today and future generations; act as a meeting point between North and South and promote intercultural dialogue and cooperation for a sustainable development between both shores.
