History
Founded Sep 1974, Speyer (Germany FR), having been proposed, 1971, at XVth International Congress of Administrative Sciences, as a section of B-XB2138 - International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS). Officially set up, 1975. Now a regional group of IIAS. Original title: European Group of Public Administration -- Groupe européen d'administration publique. Current title adopted, Mar/Jul 2009.
Aims
Organize and encourage exchange of information on developments in the theory and practice of public administration; foster comparative studies and development of public administrative theory within a European perspective; facilitate application of innovative ideas, methods and techniques in public administration; strengthen contacts between practitioners, teachers, researchers and civil servants.
