History

Founded by Science Council of Japan. Current statutes approved 14 May 2000; revised 9 May 2001, 13 May 2002, 13 May 2003, 16 Jun 2009, 4 Jul 2011, 10 Jul 2012 and 17 Jun 2014.

Aims

Provide scientists in all fields, including cultural and social as well as natural sciences and technology, a collaborative platform for promoting scientific exchange and cooperation in Asia for the improvement of human society; develop and promote a holistic vision by integrating the emerging advances in science and technology with Asian wisdom, values and heritage, focusing on sustainable development and improvement in quality of life.
