Founded on the basis of 'European Agreement on the Standardization of Milk-Butterfat Recording Practices', signed 9 Mar 1951, Rome (Italy).
Current constitution adopted 16 May 2000, Rome.
Aims
Develop and improve identification, performance recording and genetic evaluation of farm animals, through definitions and standards for measuring animal characteristics having economic importance.
