Founded Nov 1947, Mexico City (Mexico), on adoption of Constitution, following proposals made at Pan American Pediatrics Conference 1945, Washington DC (USA). Incorporated 1946, in the State of Ohio (USA). Present Constitution and By-Laws adopted at 16th Congress, Sep 1979, Santa Cruz (Bolivia). Also referred to as Alianza Panamericana de Médicas.

Aims

Bring medical women of North, South, Central America and the Caribbean area into association for mutual improvement, encouragement of their participation in all branches of medical public welfare work; exchange ideas; facilitate social and cooperative relations; assist in further education of members; forward such constructive movements as may be mutually beneficial and properly endorsed by national medical associations.
