History
12 May 1990, Tallinn (USSR), developing from the reconstituted H-XF2242 - Baltic Entente. Since 13 Jun 1994, following signature of the Agreement on Baltic Parliamentary and Governmental Cooperation between the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Lithuania, functions as the main forum of F-XF3174 - Baltic Assembly (BA) and D-XD5517 - Baltic Council of Ministers (BCM). Also referred to as Conseil de la Baltique; Conseil des Etats baltes.
Aims
Monitor cooperation of the Baltic States both on the legislative and executive level; ensure follow-up of the adopted decisions.

Not a formal organization, but a joint annual session held between the Baltic Council of Ministers and the Baltic Assembly, as stipulated in Article 3 of the 'Protocol Amending the Agreement on Baltic Parliamentary and Governmental Cooperation between the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Lithuania', signed by the Prime Ministers of the respective countries, 28 Nov 2003. Prime Ministers do not participate, only the Foreign Minister of the chairing country in his/her capacity as a Cooperation Minister. No formal secretariat.
