Aims

Help the African natural rubber industry exploit its full potential and enhance its position in the global market place; develop and promote technical and economic cooperation among African professionals on policy, programmes, equipment and statistical information for expansion and improvement of the natural rubber industry and trade; identify and solve common problems relating to production, processing, sale, export, manufacture, research and development; protect and promote the interests of the African natural rubber industry in international fora and the global market place; establish and promote technical cooperation with international aid and development agencies to increase the production base of the industry and improve its competitiveness in world markets; assist governments in establishing economic frameworks for sustainable development of the industry; seek technical and financial support and participate in projects on behalf of the industry; examine production, processing, marketing and distribution of natural rubber in Africa and recommend changes to increase efficiency; promote better understanding between producers and buyers; promote establishment of related downstream and by-product industries.
