14 Oct 1981, Santiago (Chile), when statutes were approved, annual meetings of Latin American Reinsurers having been held since 1975, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Statutes modified: 1982; 1983; 1986; 1988; 1989. Registered in Uruguay.
Aims
Facilitate relations, knowledge and exchange of experience among members; promote study of all matters related to reinsurance, especially as concerns the Latin American market; promote the development and efficiency of Latin American markets of reinsurance; maintain and disseminate information on legal, statistical, tariff, technical or financial matters; favour other activities for the common benefit.
