Facilitate judicial cooperation in criminal matters through Contact Points (CPs) by establishing direct contacts between competent national judicial authorities, supporting drafting stages of requests for legal assistance, and providing assistance in urgent cases and cases of delayed execution of requests; provide information about national law and legal systems to address any national prerequisites for the execution of requests; contribute to information gathering and provide input to the EU institutions on drafting and implementation of legal instruments.
