Promote understanding, cooperation and mutual help among the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of Africa; help African NOCs to spread, develop and protect the Olympic ethic throughout the African continent; plan and coordinate the action of African NOCs; organize and coordinate the preparation and participation of Africa in Olympic Games; celebrate in close collaboration with the NOCs concerned, African Sports Confederations and SCSA, the African Games and such in accordance with the Olympic Charter; collaborate closely with SCSA and in a general manner with government and non-governmental sports bodies in order to facilitate the working out and the implementation in Africa of a coherent strategy of sports development which translates in terms of operational programmes the right for all to the practice of sports and physical activities.
