History
Founded during a meeting of representatives from 18 countries in Chamonix. 1st Assembly: 1933, Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy). Previous statutes approved 11 Oct 1986, Munich (Germany FR); revised Sep 1990. Current statutes adopted 18 Oct 2008, Teheran (Iran Islamic Rep); Revised 9 Oct 2010, Bormio (Italy), 8 Oct 2011, Kathmandu (Nepal) and 13 Oct 2012, Amsterdam (Netherlands). Registered Office in Bern (Switzerland).
Aims
Encourage, develop and support the practice of all forms of mountaineering and mountain sports in the international field.
