Aims

Participate in the legislative process by putting forward draft provisions of common interest to the bodies of the System; promote harmonization of member country legislation and the growth of cooperative and coordinated relations with parliaments of the Andean countries and of third countries; promote and guide the Andean subregional integration process; promote popular participation in the Andean integration process; encourage development of an Andean community spirit; maintain the full rule of freedom, social justice and democracy in which all in the Andean subregion participate; ensure that human rights are respected within the framework of the international instruments in force on the subject for all contracting parties; promote among the peoples of the Andean subregion awareness and extensive dissemination of the guiding principles and rules for establishing a new international order; encourage development and integration of the Latin American community; help strengthen international peace and justice.
