Established within the framework of B-XB0971 - FAO, by Article XIV of FAO Constitution, following approval of 60th session of FAO Council, 1973, Rome (Italy), (Resolution 1/60). First session Jun 1976. Agreement amended: 1978 and 1979, at 76th session of FAO Council, Resolution 1/76. Statutes registered in 'UNTS 1/14604'.
Aims
Enhance the level of nutrition and standard of living of livestock keepers, especially smallholders, livestock value-chain actors, and communities at large through equitable, sustainable and safe livestock sector development.
