Impact on meetings behavior. The Union of International Associations (UIA) invites you to participate in its special COVID 19 Impact Survey (closing date: 15 October).

The COVID 19 pandemic has a tremendous impact on the global travel and meetings industry and on the meetings behaviour of international associations. The UIA Survey on International Meeting Issues – 2022 - (continued COVID 19 Impact on International Association Meetings) will continue to explore the changed approach of associations, when planning and organizing their international events.

The Survey has 19 questions, 15 of these with multiple choice answers, and takes about 10 minutes to complete. You will be able to choose the language of the Survey: English, French or Spanish.

All participants will receive a PDF of the final report.

Celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Memory of the World Programme

Save the date. UNESCO celebrates the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Memory of the World Programme from 27 October to 5 November 2022.

The 30th anniversary of the Memory of the World Programme will be celebrated in tandem with the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage. As such, UNESCO embraces the theme: "Your Window to the World: Enlisting documentary heritage to promote inclusive, just and peaceful societies".
It takes its cue from the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly SDG 16. SDG 16 seeks to “promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.” Target 16.10 aims to “ensure public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms, in accordance with national legislation and international agreements.”

For the global celebration, a symposium will be held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France, on 27 October 2022. The event will be opened for registration for Member States, and will be live-streamed for the public.
