Education. The UIA Associations Round Table aims to promote and facilitate the work of international associations by providing training and networking opportunities.

NEW DATES! In view of the sanitary situation associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the UIA and Prague Convention Bureau, Host Partner of the UIA Round Table Europe, have decided to postpone this event, which was to be held in Prague, Czech Rep on 4 & 5 February 2021. The 14th UIA Associations Round Table Europe is planned to take place as a hybrid meeting in Prague, Czech Rep in late spring/early summer 2021. The UIA along with the host partner will continue to monitor closely this evolving situation and keep you informed about the new dates.

| International Meetings Statistics Report, 61st Edition |

Rankings & Trends. Since 1960 the UIA has prepared statistics on the international meetings that have taken place worldwide in the preceding year. This work is based on ongoing research and surveys undertaken by the UIA. Meetings taken into consideration include those organized and/or sponsored by international organizations, i.e. the sittings of their principal organs, congresses, conventions, symposia, regional sessions grouping several countries, as well as some national meetings with international participation organized by national branches of international associations.
Highlights include:
• Number of meetings per city and per country, with indications of their market share
• Top international meeting countries and cities per year
• Trends in participant numbers and meeting dates
• Top 10 ranking

New! UIA offers 30 and 90 Day access options to its associations database Yearbook of International Organizations Online. The database includes detailed descriptions of c. 73,000 international organizations worldwide, c. 41,000 of which are active. Coverage includes intergovernmental (IGOs) and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). Organization profiles are cross-referenced to show detailed relationships between organizations. Information & Support. Brussels has paid this year specific attention to international Associations’ needs and developed a tailor-made website section to encompass as many topics as possible. The visit.brussels associations team has kept the flame alive by keeping contact through regular meetings and gathered information from different sources related to ongoing webinars, factsheets, news on items related to events, management, communications, human resources, legal matters or economic measures among others. All the information has been put in a single COVID19 resource directory open to all associations around the world. The work shall continue with an upcoming release of new FAQs and new online activities.

The International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA) aims to improve the standard of veterinary education internationally through the exchange of ideas, knowledge and culture.
IVSA helps to expand the worldwide collaboration of over thirty-eight thousand students, enriching their student experience and improving their skills as future veterinarians. It is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1951 and is also the largest veterinary student association in the world.
