Where to meet? There are three main convention centers in Barcelona, the CCIB (Barcelona International Convention Center), with 11.000 sqm of exhibition area; the Fira Gran Via, with 200.000 sqm of exhibition area; and the PCC (Palau de Congressos de Catalunya), with 2.000 sqm of exhibition area. They all are able to host any kind of event. We would like to highlight Barcelona’s variety of unique venues for smaller meetings and social events. They range from sites steeped in history with character such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Casa Batlló and the Palau de la Música Catalana, to modern facilities like the CCCB - Centre de Cultura Contemporània, Fàbrica Moritz or Valkiria Hub Space. Additionally in the surrounding areas of greater Barcelona, we have incredible options such as Codorniu, and Torres wineries, just to mention a couple. Where to stay? Barcelona offers a wide range of hotels, with perfectly equipped meeting spaces. There are 427 hotels in total, offering 38.000 rooms & 74.000 beds. Along with a variety of conference hotels in close vicinity of Barcelona such as Meliá Sitges, Dolce Sitges or Sant Cugat Hotel. How to get there? The international airport, Barcelona-El Prat, links Barcelona with all of Europe ́s capitals and many world destinations, with flights to 171 European cities and 31 intercontinental destinations. New international flights are being launched in the coming months (Chicago, Buenos Aires, Seoul, San Francisco...). The airport is located only 12 km from the city center. The Barcelona Convention Bureau can help associations organize and promote their meetings, covering the areas of management, planning and logistics. We can assist them with the bidding process (planning and creating the candidature dossier); arranging a room block when necessary; coordinating inspection visits; connecting the association with local suppliers; coordinating with local authorities in the city regarding municipal services and other protocols; promoting the meeting once awarded, etc. All our support and advisory services are completely free of charge.
